For 9-14 year olds
Paint and Poetry
A day of words and pictures. Using ‘Found Poetry’ young people will choose words that inspired them from a variety of sources and learn how to put them together to create those modern inspiring poems which they will then turn into unquiet works of art or mini books using a variety of art materials and techniques.
Fantastic Finger Puppets
Design and construct crazy creatures using incredible modern style finger puppets, learn how to story board your ideas, create realistic movements, exciting vocals and being your creation to life in a short film.
Improv antics
A Creative Theatre workshop were kids create a persona and learn acting skills to bring that character to life. We’ll be crafting, making costumes, masks or makeup, playing fun drama improvisation games and activities.
Newcastle United Foundation Coaching
This opportunity is open to all who want to keep active over the summer with qualified coaches and youth work staff from Barnabas.
Grow your own Christmas Dinner
Learn how to grow your own Christmas vegetables, see them grow over the next few months in time for your Christmas dinner.
There will be follow on sessions during the Autumn.
Bike Maintenance
Come along and learn how to fix and maintain your bike. Bring your own or we have bikes available to use.
Outdoor Activity Days
Our outdoor activity days consist of half a day of paddlesport and half a day of land activities including climbing, archery and team-building games.
